Jewell married Edwin(?) Earl CARLILE of possibly Waco, McLennan Co, Texas area. Jewell was nicknamed Judy by her d-i-l, Bea REYNOLDS CARLILE, and went by Judy CARLILE after that. I know the CARLILE's lived in the Dallas and Irving, Texas area and had a number of children. Some of the names I have gotten from paper scraps and photos are Lloyd, Ruby, Vernice and Jewell Marie. Unfortunately my ex-husband has passed away, just yesterday, so even the little he knew is gone. Fortunately we talked off and on about family. I'm trying to pull this all together for my daughter and have kept putting it off. Here's the little I have and will post more when I find it. Also I noted in past email's you are collecting pictures so I would be pleased to add the few Shelby's I have as soon as I can. May not have had SS Did find: Shelby Carlile b 16 April 1916 d Feb 1974 SSN 455-09-9491 Mary Dunlap b 24 July 1915 d 1 Feb 2002 Garland, Dallas, TX SSN 424-10-6095, issued in Alabama If these look like yours, go to the SS link I give here-all you have to do is fill in the blanks, and then you can request a copy of the SS application-they even fill out a form you can print out. The SS will name parents and mothers maiden name, date and places of birth and other data that may help in your search. Also, you should be able to find them on census records which will give you more data. The Dallas library has all the census for the US, especially Texas. I was able to check Texas 1920 census for Edwin & Jewell and did not find them by either first name or middle name or initials. The 1930 census is available thru your library's Interlibrary loan service, or better yet, if you have a Mormon Church Family History Center, try there. Keep us posted of your findings! If you can locate Edwin Earl's father, It may be early enough for me to help.
