Hi Charles,
My search was for Isaac Shelby, which in turn brought up John Latham, but
have no connection to him. You'll find him referenced here:
http://www.trolinger.com/david/shelby/shelby.htm -This just has to do with
the history of Shelby Co, TX, which was named for Isaac. It mentions "John
Latham, who settled here in 1818 when the area was still under Spanish rule"
Also, there is this site, regarding "Sapling Grove" the home place of Gov
Isaac Shelby's father, Evan Shelby:
http://www.tngenweb.org/tnland/squabble/land.html -Interesting information
here..Including the mention of a John Latham.
For those who may not have discovered it yet--Once you are on one of these
web site's, go to FILE and then click on FIND IN THIS PAGE -type in the
name you are looking for...You can do this with any web site, by the way.
There was a Lucretia Latham, married 1874 to E.B. "Elam Barnes" Shelby, in
Stoddard Co, MO. Have no further data on her.
Sorry I can't be of more help with this.
Judy
