I was just notified that I could use the Shelby Research List. I should =
have first checked out the site =
http://lists.trolinger.com/mailman/listinfo/sheby. But it seems like you =
may have researched Moses Shelby and his wife Isabel, whose daughter was =
Mary Shelby Wylie (Wiley). I too have been looking for "additional =
proofs" of Moses Rev War service (for DAR supplement). Now DAR has =
approved Moses using a Grand Jury evidence of civic service that I sent =
in. I also sent in evidence that Moses Shelby was paid by Rev War ledger =
(microfilm in NC Archives) for wagon & team. And next to that entry was =
ISABEL SHELBY being paid for pork and flour. I would like to send in a =
supplemental application on Isabel S. Does anyone know her maiden name? =
Does anyone know the date and place of marriage to Moses S?.And a =
document that would prove Mary Shelby Wiley was daughter of Isabel S. On =
the marr date & place, I've read "abt 1745" and "at Hagerstown, MD". =
I've also been told about "Isabel's will". I only have the will of Moses =
Shelby and Isabel Shelby made before Moses died. What about some =
possible proof/evidence that her maiden name was "Rhedd" (I've seen =
other spellings too).=20
